Ice Cream and Helado

Buenos Aires is a city where it is considered normal to get ice cream home delivered. You simply ring up the ice cream parlour and tell them what flavours you would like. They scoop your flavour selection into a cold container then throw in some cones and their delivery motorbike or bicycle will drop it off at your door free of charge.

Mondays are one of my favourite days as a nearby ice cream parlour has a buy one liter get one liter free giveaway. On the cold days in winter another ice cream parlour has a super promotional special which includes free extra ice cream depending on the temperature. When it drops below 5 degrees celsius, you can get a whole extra liter free! I watch the weather report with surprising interest.

My favourite flavour is dulce de leche-- You will have to try it yourself when you travel to Buenos Aires!
